Born and raised in Michigan, she grew up with her parents, brother, and dog, next door to her grandparents. Mandi attributes most or her skills and interests to her mom and grandma, who taught her how to bake, how to crochet and knit, and pushed her to learn music, which included sitting down with her to make her practice piano.

Though she didn't care much for writing, besides her song lyrics in her younger years, in eighth grade that changed when she won an essay contest. Since then, Mandi has enjoyed creating her own worlds through writing novels.

Mandi is full of dreams and aspirations which include owning her own bakery, recording and producing her own music, and finishing her other four novels.
